Community Involvement
2019
Here is a photo taken this morning at Parsons delivering a check to Salvation Army from November oil changes. In the photo are Aaron Cernoch, Nick Dehart, Sherri Parsons (all three representing Parsons) and Cavan Kelly (representing Salvation Army).
Giving $1.00 of every oil change to Salvation Army has continued a tradition that’s spanned over 20 years of giving back to the community. Sherri Parsons summarized that the service staff takes pride that nearly $140,000 has been reinvested in Langlade County through the dollar per oil change campaign since the program started.
Kelly noted that Parsons not only contributes dollars, but many employees also contribute time to ringing the bell at the red kettles. They are aware that for every hour of bell ringing, about $50 is raised for local Salvation Army needs. Sherri Parsons is one of the bell ringers who will be ringing. He added that more bell ringers are needed between now and Christmas at nearly every store location in ANTIGO. To volunteer, go to salanglade.org or call Kelly at 715-623-7838. Only with more bell ringers will Langlade County continue to meet emergency needs for local families.
With our customers help, we've been able to donate over $136,000 to the community!

Lube, Oil Filter Program
Every month, $1.00 of every oil change at Parsons of Antigo goes to a worthwhile organization in Antigo or the surrounding area. Each month a different organization is chosen.
Through our dollar of every oil change LOF Benefit program, we've been able to donate over $123,000 back to our community. Below are photos of just some of the great organizations our customers have helped us support over the years!
2017
Salvation Army Kettle Campaign
In the photo are Rachel Peterson, Eric Stofregen, Bill Kelly and Nick Dehart.
Salvation Army Kettle Campaign received part of over $126,000 given by Parsons of Antigo from oil changes since the program started. The service staff takes pride that part of every oil change goes to worthwhile organizations in the community.
Many Parsons employees also take time to Ring the bell from now to Christmas, adding their volunteer time to the financial donation. Volunteer coordinator Bill Kelly added that more bell ringers are needed between now and Christmas to meet local Salvation Army needs.
Kelly said even though the number of volunteer bell ringers is down so far, the campaign is on track to meet last year’s record donations. Much of the increase is because more people are matching Kettle donations. He recently received a commitment from two donors to match up to $1,000 of donations at Fleet Farm on Friday December 15 and Friday December 23 to encourage shoppers and have donations doubled.
Volunteers can go to salanglade.org to register and sign up directly for a two hour shift or call Kelly at 715-623-7838 to ring at Fleet Farm, Walmart, Pick n Save, Walgreens, Lakeside or Gilbert Sentry.
